Watercolours
David was born near London in 1957 and grew up in South East England. He studied architecture in London and Hull and has worked in London, Kent, Hertfordshire, Wiltshire and Leicester.
In 1991 he moved to The Netherlands. He lives in Arnhem.
From an early age he started as an amateur artist, nearly always in watercolour. Most of the subjects are landscapes and townscapes in various places from Norway to Malta. David has taken part in various painting courses in England and The Netherlands. He is a basic member of the International Watercolour Society Holland.
"Painting is a passion of mine. It gives me the chance to concentrate completely on a subject. An atmosphere of calm is often captured in the paintings, together with subtle washes and strong colours."
